Services & FAQ’s Page: Q: What can I sell at auction? A: Virtually anything can, and probably has, been sold via the auction method of marketing. At Andreas & Associates we will assist you with business liquidations, city property sales, vehicle sales, agricultural equipment, and real property. We also liquidate estates, antiques, and collectibles. Q: Does your company conduct fund raising auctions? A: Yes, it is one of our specialties. We will work with your committee from the planning stages through the day of the event to make certain that your organization has a successful outcome. We often incorporate music and other entertainment into the “show” to make certain that your attendees have a great time spending money! We offer low or no-cost fees for many of our clients. Q: Do I have enough items to have an auction? A: Call today for a phone consultation. After our initial discussion, we may schedule a time to review the property. Andreas and Associates offers this service at no cost to our potential clients. Q: How much do you charge? A: Our fees are determined by a variety of factors. They range from a “flat” fee for simply calling bids on the day of sale, to a sliding scale percentage of the proceeds of the auction. We will provide, upon request, a written proposal that will detail auction costs, advertising costs, and clerking costs to assist you in your decision-making process. We are often able to give you a general idea after a phone consultation. Q: How should I advertise my auction? A: Andreas & Associates offers a full auction marketing service. We will develop an advertising campaign that may include print media, sale fliers, mailings, website, or other applicable avenues. Our goal is to attract as many potential buyers to your auction as possible. Q: I have an expensive item that I would like to sell. What if it doesn’t bring as much money as I would like? A: You may consider putting a “reserve” on such an item. A reserve is a price below which the item will remain unsold. We recommend using that option sparingly, as proper marketing will assure that items will sell at fair market value. Q: What type of appraisals to you offer? A: We offer personal property appraisals suitable for insurance, estate, and property division proceedings. All appraisals are written in accordance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. |
